Component Engineer (all genders) – Die Casting, Plastic Injection Molding, and Mechatronics - 6456

You will take on challenges like

• overseeing technical components in the development of e-bike drive units (with a focus on robustness, service life, NVH, and industrialization)

• managing components from the A-sample through to series production approval

• responsibility for tolerance calculations, component design, drawing derivation, documentation, and coordination with suppliers

• commissioning validation samples and tests, interpreting test results, and deriving improvement measures

• ensuring adherence to schedule, quality, and cost targets

• collaborating in a cross-functional project team

You impress us with

• a completed university degree (Master’s/Diploma/Ph.D.) in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering with a focus on product development, design engineering, or a comparable field of study

• your extensive experience in the development of connectors, plastic components, and die-cast components, as well as the associated manufacturing technologies, such as stamping, drawing, and bending, plastic injection molding, die casting, and milling—experience with Moldflow and FEM simulations

• knowledge of supplier management and very good proficiency in the CAD tools ProE/Creo as well as MS Office

• your creative, independent, consistent, and structured approach to work

• your willingness to travel for occasional business trips ~ 1–2 times per year

• your fluency in German and English (min. B2 level)
