What you should know about the job

You face challenges like

  • developing and managing our manufacturing processes with a focus on CNC‑controlled turning machines

  • supporting and further developing turning processes

  • defining machining technologies, including the provision of required production equipment such as fixtures and tools, while considering upstream coating processes

  • creating manufacturing programs for CNC‑controlled turning machines with main, counter, and motor milling spindles (5‑axis) in a CAD/CAM environment, as well as commissioning these programs in production

  • creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation

  • performing required design revisions and maintaining setup sheets, technical documentation, and master data in the ERP system IFS and the CM system BabtecQ

  • capturing, evaluating, and statistically analyzing process and measurement data

  • documenting manufacturing and quality data

  • conducting statistical evaluations (e.g., trend analyses) and deriving appropriate corrective actions

  • supporting serial production:

    • acting as the first point of contact for technical inquiries

    • supporting the introduction of new machines, products, or processes

    • ensuring smooth operations within production

You inspire us by

  • a completed technical vocational training (e.g., metalworker, automotive bodywork specialist, or cutting machine operator) with further qualification as a technician or specialist, or a completed technical degree (engineering, mechanical engineering, automation technology, production engineering, or a comparable qualification at Bachelor level)

  • several years of professional experience in supporting CNC‑controlled 5‑axis machining processes as well as strong technical understanding of machines and equipment; experience with industrial interfaces (e.g., OPC UA) and in the aerospace industry or aerospace‑specific manufacturing processes is an advantage

  • knowledge of statistical data acquisition and analysis, e.g., using Minitab, Excel, or SPC (advantageous)

  • business-fluent German and very good English skills
