You face challenges like

• designing and coding software for embedded edge devices in complex fire alarm systems. This includes signal processing and algorithms for fire parameter detection, as well as developing protocols for data exchange with the fire alarm control panel.

• developing solutions throughout the entire development process – from specification to design and implementation to unit and integration testing – in close collaboration with software architects and other project stakeholders.

• ensuring product functionality through model-based methods, simulations, and hardware-related tests, e.g., test-driven development, on-chip debugging, Googletest, and Python3.

You inspire us with

• a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.

• excellent knowledge in embedded software development and 5-10 years of experience in modern embedded C++ programming. Ideally, you have experience with ARM processors (Cortex-M4) and especially the STM32L4xxx series.

• experience with common software development tools like Enterprise Architect, Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps.

• strong analytical skills, a good understanding of cross-system relationships, and a high quality standard.

• excellent German and English language skills – necessary for close collaboration in international teams at locations in Germany and Portugal.
