What you should know about the job

You face challenges like

  • supporting the Commodity Manager (m/f/d) EMS in the procurement of electronic components during times of allocation

  • contributing to all tasks and activities of the Strategic Purchasing department within the product development process (PEP)

  • creating a cross-site shortage list with appropriate prioritization in coordination with production control

  • coordinating with EMS suppliers, distributors, brokers, component management, and engineering to address part shortages and identify potential alternatives

  • involving preferred suppliers in the product development process at an early stage in coordination with the Project Buyer (m/f/d) and the Commodity Manager (m/f/d)

  • aligning the project schedule with relevant team members to ensure the timely execution of all strategic purchasing activities

  • coordinating and monitoring project-relevant tasks and deliverables

  • collaborating across locations with operational purchasing and production control to ensure the timely processing of all tasks within Strategic Purchasing

  • complying with applicable processes, work instructions, methods, guidelines, legal and collective agreement requirements, as well as audit, standard, and review obligations

  • consistently implementing compliance guidelines and the general business principles of the client’s corporate group

You inspire us by

  • a completed degree in industrial engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification

  • several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally with industry experience in aerospace

  • solid knowledge of MS Office, especially advanced functions, as well as initial practical experience with SAP

  • a strong general technical understanding, particularly in the field of electronic components

  • your willingness and ability to actively contribute ideas and impulses to the team and to work together towards a common goal

  • your independent, structured, and results-oriented way of working, enabling quick and direct achievement of objectives

  • your flexibility in dealing with changing requirements

  • your ability to communicate constructively and effectively with both national and international stakeholders

  • business fluent language skills in both German and English
