What you should know about the job

You face challenges like

  • planning and executing technology and development projects as well as managing work packages

  • presenting work results within development teams and documenting them in the form of technical reports

  • characterizing materials and evaluating the mechanical properties of base materials as well as joining and heat‑affected zones

  • assessing manufacturing-related deviations with regard to material and component properties

  • preparing specifications to support quality assurance, manufacturing, and procurement

  • benchmarking against the state of the art and identifying development potential

  • providing technical guidance and consulting to development, manufacturing, and purchasing departments in the field of materials engineering

You inspire us by

  • a completed university degree in materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification

  • in-depth knowledge of the microstructure and properties of metallic materials, particularly titanium and nickel forging alloys and/or additively manufactured titanium and nickel materials

  • knowledge in the field of materials testing and microstructural analysis

  • knowledge of fracture mechanics as well as joining and manufacturing processes (desirable)

  • a high level of initiative and a strong willingness to further develop both methodically and professionally

  • an independent working style combined with strong organizational and presentation skills

  • enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration as well as strong teamwork and communication skills

  • programming skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB) (desirable)

  • business‑fluent German and English language skills
