What you should know about the job

You face challenges like

  • designing robust module mounts that support repeatable and accurate performance of exterior/interior ADAS sensors

  • contributing with strong knowledge in designing kinematic mechanisms and shock and vibration stabilization structures

  • designing and executing comprehensive tolerance stack-up analyses at both component and system levels to ensure proper fit, function, and manufacturing feasibility of ADAS sensor assemblies

  • leading optical performance simulations using SPEOS software to validate ADAS sensor system performance across various environmental and operating conditions

  • driving and overseeing thermal and structural simulations & validation at the module level to ensure robust mechanical design and optimal sensor performance under diverse operating conditions

  • collaborating with cross-functional groups, including exterior surface design, interior cabin design, design studio, structural simulation group, ADAS group, and module suppliers, to optimize packaging space and fulfill both manufacturing serviceability requirements

  • working with Tier 1 suppliers and understanding mechanical system implementation

You inspire us by

  • holding a Bachelor of Science (Master's preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field

  • demonstrating proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly CATIA

  • more than 3 years of experience in mechanical design in the automotive industry

  • applying expertise in ASME GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and detailed 2D drawings

  • having plastic and injection molding experience

  • utilizing CAE tools, such as ANSYS

  • understanding thermal, shock, and vibration testing

  • being familiar with rapid prototyping techniques

  • possessing expertise in ADAS mechanical component design

  • showcasing a track record of creative mechanical design that fits within tight spaces

  • having knowledge of vehicle build processes and electrical harnessing
