You face challenges like

• taking responsibility for technical components in the development of eBike drive units

• ensuring robustness, durability, NVH performance, and manufacturability of components

• overseeing components from prototype (A-sample) to series production release

• performing tolerance calculations, component design, drawing derivation, documentation, and coordination with suppliers

• commissioning validation prototypes and tests, interpreting results, and deriving improvement measures

• meeting deadlines, quality, and cost targets

• collaborating within a cross-functional project team

You inspire us by

• a completed university degree (Master’s/ Diplom/PhD) in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering with a focus on product development, design engineering, or a comparable field of study

• several years of professional experience in gearbox development, particularly planetary gear systems, as well as in the industrialization of gears, running and mating gears, shafts, rolling and sliding bearings, freewheels, and shaft-hub connections

• solid knowledge of relevant manufacturing technologies, including machining, turning and milling parts, heat and surface treatment, hard finishing, powder metallurgy, and forming technologies

• proficiency with CAD tools such as ProE/Creo, KissSoft/-Sys, MASTA or FVA-Workbench, as well as MS Office

• a creative, independent, consistent, and structured way of working

• willingness to travel occasionally for business trips (approximately 1–2 times per year)

• fluent German and English language skills
