creating finite element models (ANSYS / NASTRAN) for mechanical analyses based on CAD geometry, material and fluid properties, as well as requirements derived from specifications
performing thermomechanical analyses of engine and propulsion components, including justification against static and dynamic loads, as well as fatigue and damage tolerance
validating models based on test data or existing reference / heritage data
assessing the required scope of analysis and deriving proposals for design and structural optimization
documenting analysis results
presenting results to customers, e.g. within the framework of design reviews
a completed university degree or comparable qualification at Bachelor level, ideally in Aerospace Engineering
several years of professional experience in the aerospace industry, including at least two years in structural mechanics at Airbus Operations
solid experience in technical documentation of at least two years
experience in robustness, dynamic, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses
very good knowledge of structural mechanics as well as simulation methods for thermomechanical analyses
very good IT skills, particularly in MS Office (advanced features), NASTRAN (advanced features), as well as experience with ANSYS
programming skills in Fortran, Python, and C++
fluent German and English skills; French is a plus
