What you should know about the job

You face challenges like

  • independently integrating all components, attachments, and cable harnesses in accordance with work orders, procedures, and technical drawings – including mechanical parts, piping, tanks, wiring systems, or onboard electronic units.

  • accepting the work order and retrieving the required materials as instructed by the team leader.

  • verifying the completeness and accuracy of materials and drawings based on the specifications of the work order.

  • selecting the necessary tools, performing the assembly independently, checking the results, and handing over to quality assurance.

  • correcting any identified defects according to defined procedures and specifications.

  • documenting all work performed thoroughly in the task management system and in SAP.

  • continuously inspecting work before, during, and after integration while adhering to relevant procedures and technical drawings.

  • identifying and describing deviations from target specifications.

  • carrying out repairs in accordance with issued repair instructions.

  • contributing to the preparation of technical assessments and supporting expert evaluations.

  • actively participating in improvement initiatives related to integration and assembly processes.

  • your completed vocational training, ideally as an aircraft mechanic specializing in manufacturing technology, aircraft builder, mechatronics engineer, or in a comparable metal or electrical profession – preferably with many years of experience in the aerospace industry.

  • your several years of experience in aircraft construction (at least 3 years) and in quality assurance (also at least 3 years); ideally supplemented by at least 2 years of experience in the integration of space equipment.

  • your solid IT skills, especially in handling MS Office (including detailed functions) as well as your in-depth user knowledge of SAP.

  • your very good German language skills in speaking and writing (fluent) as well as advanced English language skills.

  • your knowledge or certificates in ECSS or IPC manufacturing standards for soldering and crimping.

  • your technical understanding and your solid mastery of integration and testing techniques used in your work area.
