What you should know about the job

The test bench team conceptualizes and procures test benches for testing conventional and alternative aircraft engines, is responsible for the modernization and adaptation of existing test benches, and ensures the legally compliant operation. Within your area of responsibility, you plan and control the entire electrical adaptation of electrified engines on existing test benches at various national and international locations.

You will face challenges like

  • the project planning for the integration of high-voltage components, battery storage, and electric machines

  • the coordination of electrical planning in international expert teams

  • the selection and procurement of measurement technology for monitoring the overall system

  • the creation of grounding concepts for HV systems and measurement technology

  • the location, integration, and procurement of power supply, communication connections, and monitoring units

  • the preparation of risk and hazard analyses as well as the derivation of safety concepts and instructions

  • the development of market analyses, cost estimates, and performance specifications

  • the guidance and instruction of internal and external employees in the implementation and during test operations

You inspire us by

  • a completed university degree in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification

  • your knowledge and experience in the field of electromagnetic compatibility, ideally in the test bench environment

  • your very good knowledge of electrical planning, high voltage, power electronics, and storage systems

  • your good knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations

  • your solid knowledge in the field of fieldbus (CAN, Profibus) and Industrial Ethernet (good knowledge)

  • your possible additional certificates (electrical specialist according to DIN VDE 1000-10, high-voltage systems according to DGUV-I 209-093)

  • your very good German and good English language skills

  • your experience in project management and requirements engineering

  • your high reliability, your economic thinking and acting, and your analytical skills

  • your independent, structured way of working with a strong focus on goals
