Software Quality Assurance Engineer (all genders)

• ensuring quality assurance for safety-critical embedded software development in the aviation and rail industries

• designing and monitoring quality processes in compliance with aviation standards (e.g., DO-178, DO-330)

• ensuring process-compliant software development

• conducting internal reviews and creating quality assurance documentation and records

• delivering internal training on software lifecycle processes and aviation standards

• participating in customer reviews and audits (e.g., AS9115)

You inspire us with

• a completed Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Engineering, or a comparable qualification

• several years of professional experience in quality management, quality assurance, engineering, software development, IT/information systems, and technical documentation

• solid experience in the quality assurance and development of safety-critical embedded software

• sound knowledge of aviation standards such as DO-178 and DO-330, or comparable standards from the automotive, medical technology, or rail industries (e.g., ISO 26262)

• ideally, additional knowledge of further aviation standards or comparable industry-specific regulations

• a strong affinity for structured documentation, verification, and quality assurance processes

• advanced practical knowledge of Python and requirements management using IBM Rational DOORS

• business-fluent German and English language skills for documentation, customer communication, and international collaboration
