You face challenges like

  • performing physical laboratory analyses on semiconductor components to identify failure patterns – including thorough documentation, reporting, and professional customer communication.

  • supporting development and quality assurance through detailed analytical investigations.

  • independently planning, coordinating, and executing complex physical analyses and sample preparations on electronic components.

  • conducting process and yield analytics to support development, quality assurance, and production optimization.

  • using advanced analytical techniques such as acoustic microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, EDX, metallography, or infrared microscopy to locate and visualize defects in electronic components.

  • developing failure hypotheses and targeted analysis strategies for effective root cause isolation.

  • documenting analysis results in a structured manner and communicating findings clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.

  • evaluating new prototype stages of electronic components in terms of development status and production readiness.

You inspire us with

  • your completed master's degree in physics, microsystems engineering, materials science, electrical engineering with a focus on semiconductor technology, or a related field.

  • your profound knowledge and practical experience in the physical analysis of electronic components.

  • your prior experience in working with analysis methods such as light microscopy, X-ray, IR microscopy, SAM, SEM, EDX, and electrical measurement technology.

  • your comprehensive product and process knowledge in the field of electronic components – especially in the area of power semiconductors based on silicon (Si) or silicon carbide (SiC).

  • your expertise in assembly and interconnection technology as well as in the technology and functionality of electronic components.

  • your confident demeanor, determination, resilience, and your creative and flexible approach to new challenges.

  • your excellent German and English language skills in speech and writing.
