What you should know about the job

You face challenges like

  • developing safety-critical, technologically advanced hardware for aviation, and supporting the product throughout the concept and certification phase, as well as during series production ramp-up

  • handling proposals and independently performing concept development, circuit design, calculations, and simulations within a team

  • integrating, commissioning, and verifying boards and devices

  • collaborating in agile and interdisciplinary teams with other development disciplines, suppliers, procurement, and production to bring prototypes to serial-ready products

  • building and maintaining broad knowledge of the product portfolio to leverage synergies and efficiently drive further developments

  • analyzing customer requirements and designing hardware architectures that meet these requirements

  • preparing aviation-specific documentation and supporting environmental and device qualification

You inspire us by

  • acompleted degree in electrical engineering, aerospace, or a comparable qualification

  • at least 5 years of experience in electronics development, with at least 3 years in hardware design for aviation applications (preferably safety-critical aircraft applications)

  • experience with the tool “Cadence Allegro” and familiarity with DO-254 and DO-160 standards

  • experience in requirements engineering as well as verification and validation of development results

  • basic knowledge of production and manufacturing processes, and a global understanding of analog and digital design and industry-standard interfaces (A429, UART, CAN, SPI, I²C, parallel bus, etc.)

  • the ability to evaluate and optimize a design with respect to EMC, signal integrity, and other performance parameters, as well as knowledge of modern development tools and processes (e.g., CAE tools, calculation and analysis tools, Agile and Scrum)

  • your independent, cross-site working style, team spirit, high willingness to learn, curiosity, initiative, and communication skills

  • fluent German and English language skills
